![]() I am of course a little bitter so I'm biased. They completely turned their back on those dealers and worse, the customers those dealers had. I look at their website now and there are only a handful of AV companies where in the old days it used to be a lot of electrical contractors too. That part I don't understand because they already had a lot less dealers than Lutron and the first thing customers would always ask is "If you're not around, can we find another dealer?" I'd say yes but the list was getting shorter and shorter. They used to be a smaller and very responsive customer oriented company who had a great product on par with Lutron and in some cases better but once Legrand bought them, they brought in their own people who IMO don't really understand the market and the product became stale (while I was a programmer they never had a cloud based app and their regular app was outdated), and on top of that, they started dropping longtime dealers. The only exception is their dealer system Vantage which is I used to love prior to Legrand buying them. As far as consumer products go, I usually either see Lutron or some flavor of a wifi or zwave device they found on Amazon or Home Depot. ![]() I've seen some "dumb" Adorne switches and seen the Radiant line in a showroom but that's it. Granted my experience is anecdotal and I don't have any of their internal numbers but I've had my foot in the door of lighting automation for many years now and I have never run into their home grown smart residential products in any of the houses I've worked in. We've been buying their electrical devices for years (I really like their GFCIs) but just because they're good at one thing doesn't mean that they are good at other things or can buy their way into it and create a culture internally that helps grow it. Since these didn't have QR codes located where they should have been, I believe these cannot be programmed. Really hope I can take advantage of this feature in the house! Thanks for any advice.Įdit: Found out that you can purchase plain Legrand switches that aren't Smart-capable. Should one be enough to allow me to access all of them?Īny trouble shooting tips as to why I couldn’t get it to glow amber? So I’m wondering now.ĭoes each individual switch have its own QR code? If so, I have none of these except the one pasted up out in the shed. The instructions said to wait until the light on the switch glows amber but I could not get it to do so. There’s only one code I could find and it’s outside in the shed where there’s a switch. It wants me to scan a QR code to connect the switch to the WiFi. I’ve got the app downloaded and WiFi established in my home. previous owner installed multiple Legrand smart switches around his home. Join the Home Automation Discord by Clicking Here!Īs title says.
